nokia uk reception
by bobpulley
In 1991, interior designer Chris Levings invited Bob Pulley to work in collaboration with him on Nokia’s reception area, located on the outskirts of Cambridge. They introduced a discreet sign system through a pattern of mapping devices inlayed into the floor. A nod to the history of communications was intoduced through a ‘secret operations’ door and the work of Alvar Alto, the influential Finnish architect and furniture designer, was reflected in the reception desk and display cabinets.
